It was a sunny day to paint this scene of Bucks Harbor
where I'd moored my sailboat for the season
so long ago, forty-five years.

But then, I never saw what was coming behind my back, a rain squall.

And it caught me by surprise during the big painting.
It really rained.

Midway completed, splattered by raindrops, even under the umbrella,
ruined (?), not, it's water color, and when the sun returned
I returned to complete this watercolor.

Down to Bucks Harbor on a water enhanced color stairway.
