Susan Abbott Workshop Day One
1
Outside the Hummingbird Art Center, at Elbow Cay, Abaco Island, Bahamas

2
Inside the Hummingbird Art Center Susan's workshop is humming.
It was a great class, the whole day sped by, totally engrossing
with Susan's expert relaxed teaching style.

3
View from our back yard facing the sea.
With a thunderstorm rolling through and rain by noon
it was a good day to work inside.

4
Working on complementary colors, after traveling to fine art
in museums via Susan's well-articulated informative talk on colors.

"If I only had two colors to travel the world with
I'd take Prussian Blue and Burt Sienna."
-Susan Abbott

5
Meanwhile it rained outside, though it doesn't look like it
in this view from our back yard it's pouring down rain.

6
To finish the day, Susan doing her own
two complementary colors painting while we work on ours.

7
Blue and Orange, the only colors used.

8
The Hummingbird Art Center's front gate awaiting tomorrow
in complimentary Bahamas Blue raindrops,
complimentary complementary color.

Four Watercolors

Noontime rain
pelting down
drenching wet
in Hope Town
with four square
water drops
of paintings
til it stops.
