colors, this is painted from two maple trees turning to fall color with deep shadows falling on them by the first
pond on the walk behind my home.

The Spooky Tree Challenge HERE
by Canadian Kim Rempel, Oct 26,
2013
"The challenge this week is to paint an old tree. Aged, twisted trees have dynamic structures with tons of texture. Feel free to spook-it-up by exaggerating the knots and gnarls and playing with the color palette. When I paint trees I think of them as portraits and living sculptures."
