Painting . . .
by Bruce McMillan
. . . with my camera,
a brush in motion
as I sweep,
painting pilings lines
dazzling points of lights
reflecting off water
in the twilight
on my digital canvas;
then with my brush
in motion over my paper
watercolor dots of color
as reflections off water,
broad sweeps of twilight sky
and almost green sea
and dark pilings before
the Pearl takes shape;
painting beyond
photo realism
with camera and brush,
capturing an impression,
an ism of impressionism,
an ism of abstract impressionism,
an ism of minimalism,
an it-is-what-it-is Brucieism.
