Room for Two Artists
by Bruce McMillan

As daylight flowed in
they left their room,

drawn to the light
glowing over the beach
outside green shades,

each with their styles
left inside,
imprinted in
green.

You could tell that,
she with her
precise drawing,
blocks of form,
slept on the left.

He with windswept lines,
blowing this way
and that,
loose and free,
slept on the right.

Now they were gone,
outside painting,
each in their own style,
yet their art still here,
shaded in green.
