Abstract artist Ellsworth Kelly (1923- ), whose work is in
the MFA, Boston, studied in his youth for eighteen months
at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts while he lived
in Roxbury at the time. He drew local children. Those
drawings, he said, "are still in a drawer."
