August
6, 2015, before dinner, at the Monhegan House, Monhegan Island, Grandson Teague and I paint,
Teague as part of his summer homework, while Grandson Finn watches and
gets into drawing cartoons in preparation for his forthcoming week in a
cartooning class at the Rhode Island School of Design. Teague wanted to
paint Marshall Point Light and, knowing this from the day before, I'd
taken a photo earlier that morning to paint from, now on the computer
screen.
Marshall Point Light at 7:15 am taken aboard the Laura B. on the way to Monhegan Island. About Marshall Point Light HERE

Teague at the Caldbeck Gallery HERE in Rockland, Maine, the day after he'd painted Marshall Light. He's standing next to Marshall Point: Bridge to Light, David Dewy, watercolor, 40" x 26.5", 2014. Teague is holding his gift, the David Dewey catalogue from the 2014 exhibition that was up when I took David's watercolor workshop last September. Thanks Nancy for bringing it down from the attic. You may see the catalogue online as a beautiful PDF HERE.
