Snowshoe in Sunset Glow

Snowshoe in Sunset Glow
of the departing snowfall cloud,
that left a surprise 10" of snow, during sunset
in the back fields behind my home Shapleigh, Maine
on February 5, 2016, sketched on February 5, 2016
7" x 5", Winsor & Newton and Holbein watercolors, and
Uniball waterproof fade proof ink on 140 lb. Fabriano Artistico
cold press rough 100% cotton watercolor paper

Our yard, after a day-long surprise snowfall
of 10" the sunset came out below the
departing cloud cover creating a
glow of purples and pinks and
oranges on the fresh snow.
The ideal time to snowshoe and bask in glow.

Serendipity for Ruth Kaldor and me.
