Setting Sunlight Catches Treetops

Setting Sunlight
Catches Treetops
behind my home in Shapleigh, Maine
painted plein cold air and plain warm air on Jan 25, 2018
12" x 9" (w x h), Daniel Smith, Schmincke Horadam, and
Winsor & Newton watercolors, selected for light fastness and
permanence, and Uniball waterproof fade proof ink on 140 lb. Fabriano
Artistico cold press fine grain 100% cotton extra white watercolor paper
framed, $200 + $11.00 sales tax + $15.00 shipping = $226.00

Plein-Cold-Air
I may have started out plein-air but...

...it was plein-cold-air, freezing cold,
and when the brushes freeze to the tray...

...and ice ices up, even on the paper,
a watercolor painting has to be

completed in plain-warm-air inside.
