"I was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. After attending a public technical high school with a focus on commercial art, I attended the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. I moved to Brooksville, Maine in 1980 after my first visit to the state and married in 1984 and had three children. Between 1986 and 1996 I was a freelance illustrator, creating work for local, regional and national publication. I home-schooled my children between 1986 and 2006. When my youngest child completed her home education I returned to painting with more consistency and seriousness."

"Alexandra Tyng is a realist painter whose work combines traditional methods with a contemporary viewpoint. Alex was born in Rome, Italy, and has lived in Philadelphia most of her life. Primarily self-taught, Alex chose an academic education over art school. She learned traditional oil painting techniques by examining the work of the old masters, reading about the methods and materials of other artists, and watching artists paint.

I like very much your composition and lovely rendering of the bridge. It was also interesting to see the other artists' versions of same subject.
