David Dewey
Watercolor Workshop Day 4

Demo and Critique in Rockland, Maine
Tent Park on Mechanics Street
September 13, 2015

 Concentrating

Colors mingling, thought,
pencil, pause, brush, color, pause,
wet, paint, flow, to art.

1
On a rainy morning under
the welcoming arms of a tent...

2
...the Dewey smile shined.

3
And we listened.

4
"Everything is on my brush.
The whole world is there."

5
"You have to sacrifice reality for
the sake of the painting."

6
David's legs are his easel, his art flipping around
to accommodate his brush strokes and water flow.

7
At the afternoon critique
David Dewey makes his points with style,
his words expressed as a work of art.

The first photo of David has such great colors, the yellow , blue, and then the violet tone of his face with the same tone in the background

What a lively painting, the one under the tent!
Bravo Bruce! I can feel the beautiful energy flowing between M.Dewey and the participants!

The Harbor view is so different, so moody!

I love them both!!
